Wednesday, June 24th, 6:30pm: Scotch & Whiskey Tasting – in the Meixner Boardroom. Don’t miss this special event hosted by a local Kensington Wine Market (KWM) Scotch Specialist! An evening of Scotches & Whiskey’s selected specially for the Danish and Austrian Clubs from the KWM collection as well as a couple from the house bar. An opportunity to explore the flavors, aromas, and characters of each pour. Perhaps you are new to Scotch, Whiskey and want to learn what all the fuss is about; or perhaps you are experienced and ready to try something different. There is something for everyone here! Your tasting experience will be enhanced with a charcuterie of meat and cheese; sure to delight your palate. $70 for Danish Canadian Club & Austrian Club members, $80 for non-members. Friday, June 26th, 1-3pm: Lunch & Learn Free Workshop: Aging Gracefully – with Sara A. Bedard, 90‑Minute Workshop.
The Bodyversity Method: Understanding our Changing Bodies & Minds
Workshop Overview: Aging Gracefully is a supportive, practical workshop designed to help adults and caregivers better understand the physical, emotional, and cognitive changes that naturally occur as we age. This session blends education, guided reflection, and simple tools that participants can begin using immediately. The tone is warm, empowering, and grounded in real‑life experience. We also explore caregiver support, communication strategies, and the emotional landscape of aging both for individuals and those who support them.
Who This Workshop Is For: Men, women, and family caregiver’s. Anyone curious about the parts of aging that don’t always get explained in medical appointments. Perfect for those who want practical insight, a bit of clarity, and a supportive space to learn without judgment.
About the Facilitator: Sara A. Bedard is a Certified Peer Support Worker, Nutrition & Diet Coach, and Mental Health Advocate based in Calgary, AB.

Saturday, July 4th, 9am: 2nd Annual Pancake Breaky – join us at the Club for a complimentary breakfast on Saturday July 4th! Members of The Schuhplattler Verein Enzian have been so kind too volunteer again for cooking duty and The Board of Directors will be serving up flapjacks and savory sausages, tea and coffee.
Kids Crafts and games will be available outside if weather permits or inside in the “Fun Zone”.
Live Music with “The One Cowboy Music Company YYC” 25 years of Stampede entertainment with an eclectic mix of smooth and classic country music!
Paid Bar service will be available to start your Stampede weekend off on the right foot. After the Breakfast join us in the Lounge or Mermaid Inn to keep the celebrations going. Hope to see you all there.
